Is the APP compatible with Android phones?
Yes,support Android & iPhone,But android phone WiFi is turned off by default,so,you need to manually turn on phone's WiFi to connect.
If WiFi automatically disconnects, please turn off the setting of automatically switching to mobile data in phone.

Can the N7 still record videos without connecting to the APP? Do I need to stay connected to the APP while driving?
To prevent missing important calls/messages, the machine's WiFi is default off requires manual turn on. If WiFi disconnects, the recorder still records. You can view videos on mobile or PC. No need for constant WiFi-APP connection while driving.
